The people who live a life of service dedicated to a cause or helping others before themsleves, often have the strongest of characters, are the ones who are typically only recognized LONG after the fact.. Sadly it seems years or decades after they've left us. During their lives, they do so much yet are only known in their local areas while the show offs, loud personalities and attention seeking crowd enjoys (usually a brief) time in the spotlight.

I see this far too much, and it's lit a fire in me to do a side project called Unsung Heroes, about those modest and humble servants among us. Acadian story teller from Annapolis Royal Nova Scotia, Alan Melanson is one of those!
